New To Me November Music
November 3, 2011 — Florence and the Machine, Mog, music, Pitchfork, Roku, Spotify, St. Vincent, tUnE-yArDs
I don’t know why but last night I wasn’t in the mood for either reading a book or watching anything on Netflix, so I just went surfing via Mog’s new releases for this week, then took my board over to a few of Pitchfork’s best albums and continued the sonic experience there.
What did I discover? Well, besides the aforementioned Florence and the Machine, I dabbled in some pure pop via M83, roots rock via The War on Drugs, I don’t know how to describe it rock pop in St. Vincent, and the off-the-charts tUnE-yArDs. If you want to give a listen to my audio journey, I’ve put two playlists together both called “New To Me November”:
- New To Me November on Mog
- New To Me November on Spotify
Personally, I’m in love with Mog, but that’s because I listen to it through my Roku. However, Spotify has its uses. If you don’t know any of these terms, Google them and discover the hippest audiovisual tools at the start of this here 21st century…or give them a test drive and listen (see, in the case of Roku) for yourself what you’re missing. Believe me, it’s a lot.
So have you been listening to anything new musically? If so, what’s got your Eustachian tubes buzzing?
