This Week’s Patron of the Week comes from the Land of Random Thoughts To Tell The Librarian Assistant Before You Leave The Circulation Desk.
Please welcome Mr. Scientists-Are-Making-Non-Organic-Life-And-That’s-Scary-Isn’t-It?
So yes, as he was walking away from the desk, he turned around as if he had forgotten something and then said,
“Scientists are making non-organic life and that’s scary, isn’t it?”
Me and co-worker who also was standing at desk at time: “Hmmmm.”
What else can you say to that?
On the other hand, he said, scientists making non-organic life also could be seen as “cool.”
He then told me what else was cool: biological lasers…
…and really cool: “If they’d put those lasers on shark’s heads.”
Me and co-worker: “Hmmmm.”
After he left, I realized where his daughters, who are always taking out geeky books, get it from.
